Fingerprint Clearance Card
Anyone who works at a school must have an IVP fingerprint clearance card. That includes food service workers, custodians, librarians, teachers, principals, and other employees. (Note: An identity verified prints (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card has a more stringent criminal background check than a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card.)
Cost: If you are a current or future school employee, the office of the Gila County School Superintendent does not charge to take your prints. They don’t charge to roll your fingers on a machine which looks like a copy machine.
Cost: The Arizona Dept of Public Safety charges a fee to run a criminal background check, make the card, and mail it to you. In April, the fee was $67.
You must make an appointment to get your fingerprints done.
