Childcare
Childcare is a broad term. It includes nursery schools, preschools, daycare centers, and home-based care (e.g. nannies, babysitters, and family caregivers).
Preschool is for children ages 3 to 5.
A daycare facility watches over children during the day - while parents are at work.
It might be part-time or full-time daycare. The center might be licensed by the state (e.g. a business), or unlicensed (e.g. a stay at home mom who works out of her home). Staff might be thoroughly trained in child development, or they could have the bare minimum qualifications.
