Benefits of Home Visits
The home visiting model allows staff of PGCCS to provide services to families with at least one parent at home with the child or children.
Meeting in a family's home provides the staff from PGCCS with an opportunity to know families intimately. By engaging in a warm, accepting relationship with parents, the staff of PGCCS support a strong and secure relationship between the parent and child. The staff helps parents become more sensitive and responsive to their child.
The secure relationship between young children and their families creates the foundation for the development of a healthy brain. The home environment allows staff of PGCCS to support the family in creating rich learning opportunities that build on the family's everyday routines. Staff customize each visit, providing culturally and linguistically responsive services.

Parent-child play groups
Parent-child play groups meet twice a month. They meet at the PGCCS building, which is next to Bullion plaza.
Sometimes parents (and caregivers) feel isolated. This is a great way for parents to connect with other parents. Play groups also give children the experience of being in a classroom environment.
