The Southwest Fair Housing Council (SWFHC) was established to stop housing discrimination and to help those who have experienced it, stand up for their rights. The Fair Housing Act was established in 1968 to prevent unfair housing deals based on race, color, national origin, religion, sex, disability, or whether you have kids or not.
